A baby birthday party just wouldn’t be complete without some games and
activities, and some happily-ever-after memory making!
Baby First Birthday Party Tips:
When planning your baby’s birthday party remember that he or she
has absolutely no expectations when it comes to this celebration. In
reality, this party is for your family and friends, who are coming primarily
to ooh and aah over your precious child. The day is sure to be wonderful and
memorable if you keep a few things in mind.
Plan a fairly short baby birthday party (no more than 1 to 1½
hours), and plan around your child’s naptime. The sight of a few
balloons tied to his/her high chair, birthday party cake with lots of
frosting, and plenty of affection will be the highlights of the day for
the birthday baby! Too many activities will only result in an unhappy
and cranky child.
If possible, hold the baby birthday party in your own home or in an
environment the birthday child is familiar and comfortable with.
Take lots of pictures, including one of each guest with the
birthday boy or girl. Take the time to put yourself in some of the
pictures. Many busy parents find that they are "missing" from family
albums because they were the ones behind the camera all day! A photo
favor will be so meaningful to the people who are a big part of your
child’s life. This can actually be a planned activity for your baby
birthday party, with the

Baby First Birthday Games and Activities:
Have Bubbles imprinted with your child’s party
slogan. Pint-sized guests love bubbles!
Face painting is an age appropriate activity for a baby birthday
party, and there are some easy-to-use Face Paint Crayons
that wash off easily. A simple balloon, a bumble bee, a flower or a big
#1 would all be easy to create and fun!
Give each child a helium-filled red balloon and
have a teddy bear picnic parade, complete with marching music! Let the
birthday boy or girl or her lead the parade!
Play a few timeless classics such as the Teddy, Teddy, Bear (Duck,
Duck, Goose) game. "Buzzy Bees" is an old favorite...tag! "Bouncing
Bear" uses a stuffed Bear and a blanket. Have all the children hold on
to an edge of the blanket and toss a beary special friend into the air.
If the children are a little older, have adult helpers hold the blanket
edges and gently bounce a child in the middle of the blanket.
Children of all ages love to play with a Parachute.
Little hands enjoy holding a corner and watching it gracefully swing up
and down!
Find a wonderful Birthday Cake Piñata, we’ve yet to
find a child who doesn’t want to take a swing at one at a party!
