Dress like Harry Potter, put on the glasses and your wizard hat

Balloon Ghosts

Materials:
11" Pitch Black Balloons
White Tablecover
(1 rectangular tablecover will make 4 ghosts)
White Curling Ribbon

Inflate each balloon. Cut the tablecover into 4 equal pieces. Drape the tablecover over the balloon, leaving the tied end of the balloon on top. Cut a slit in the top of the tablecover, just large enough for the end of the balloon, and push the tied end of the balloon through it. Mark and carefully cut out eye holes (black balloon will be the background). Attach to the ceiling with curling ribbon. Your ghosts will come to life as the wind moves them as people walk by.

Face Painting

Paint a lightning bolt on the foreheads of all your muggles or let them try it on each other.

Quidditch

Play Harry's favorite game, by providing the kids with a ball, some broomsticks, and a large area to play in. Divide the group into two teams, set up two goals on either side of the yard, and have the kids try to brush the ball over their own goal line.

Dragon Snot

This is more appealing in a witch's cauldron if you have one. Simply mix green sherbet and sprite together.

Bat Wings

Place chicken wings in Bar-B-Que sauce and bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes

Lightning Bolt Cupcakes

Harry Potter's favorite cake is chocolate!
Frost chocolate cupcakes and draw a lightning bolt on top with yellow frosting and add some sprinkles.

Decorating

Abracadabra! Wave the magic wand and make a wish.
Wave the magic wand and watch it light up the party.

Step into the world of magic and make-believe. You conjure up the muggles and then make your own Hogwarts Hall like magic. Start with this Hogwarts wall decoration, mobiles to hang around the room. Place Wizards Hats on your table for a centerpiece and add some plastic jeweled Purple Crowns around. Hang black crepe streamers down from the doorways and a few ghost balloons to add to the mood. Make sure every muggle gets a party hat and their very own Wizard Hat . Every castle has treasure so let them hunt for treasure and see what happens.
