Fiesta or Easter Parties are all planned around an idea
or theme. Your party invitations, your party decorations, party favors, and
party games and even the
food, all tie in with the theme. All this, of course, takes planning. On your party
day when you see your ideas carried out and your guests having a wonderful time, you will
feel that the work of planning has been worth while.
This does not mean that you must do all the party planning yourself, without the
help of others. Your mother and father are the best ones to advise and help you.
You should always ask permission on who you invite, where it will be, and how many
you can invite.
Parties and birthdays seem to go together. If your birthday comes in
July, when many of your friends are on vacation trips, perhaps you can have your party
later. Or if you live in a small apartment and your birthday is in winter, you may
want to celebrate your birthday quietly and wait until spring or summer for a party. Then
you can play outdoor party games.
At your own party you are always to the guest of honor. But did you
ever think of giving a party to honor some other boy or girl? Suppose a new boy has
moved into your neighborhood. Perhaps you could introduce him to your friends at a party
in his honor. Or perhaps one of your classmates is soon to go away on a trip, or is
moving to another town. What could be better good-by than a party in honor of that
friend.
You can have parties for such holidays as New
Year's , Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Halloween, or Christmas. You can have parties for seasons. To welcome spring, summer fall or winter. Or you can have parties just because
you like to have them . Sometimes these parties are the best of all..
Often your parents invite company for dinner. If the guest include a
boy or girl of your own age, you can make the dinner into a party by making place cards and
favors. And you can plan after dinner games which you and the younger guests can play in
your room or outdoors. Any holiday dinner will seem more festive with
place cards and table decorations. You can have fun by making these
yourself or purchase online
Maybe you just want to invite friends over after school to play. If so,
ask your
mother if you have her permission to serve fruit juices and cookies to make
their visits seem more like a party.
