LEGO BIRTHDAY

LEGO PARTY STARTER
Have an area of Legos and as guests arrive let them make
Lego themed machines, Lego Kingdom or Lego inventions. This will give
kids something to do as
as you greet guests and get last minute preparations ready. You can judge these during the party and award
a prize for the best entries. Take pictures of the artists with
their Lego creations, and include copies in the thank-you notes you
send out after the party.
LEGO PARTY DROP
Have child stand over a
jar with a somewhat small opening (depending on child's age). Let
them have 10 LEGO bricks and see how many they can put in the jar by
dropping them as they stand straight up.

area.

Party Games
Write clues on cut out Lego bricks about where a certain party favor
is located. Depending on the age group, you could either write words
or draw simple pictures. Roll the Lego brick up and gently slip them inside a deflated blue
or red balloons. Blow the balloons up with air and hang them on the walls for a
decoration. When you are about to start the game, have a child choose a balloon
off the wall and pop it by sitting or stomping on it. (some children
my need help) Tell the children to use the clue on the Lego brick to find the
missing party favors. The children keep the
Party Favor
they find.
BLUE BUBBLE PICTURES
Supplies needed:
Tablet of
White Construction Paper
Blue Food Coloring

4.25 oz. Candy Colors Jar Set
Directions:
This activity needs to be done out doors.
Add the blue food coloring
to the bubble mixture. Have a sheet of
White Construction Paper for each child.
Have one or more adults blow bubbles and instruct each child to try
to catch them on their sheet of paper. As the bubbles pop they make a design on the paper.
See who can come close to making a picture to look like a LEGO
brick.
Hint: You can make your own bubble liquid by mixing 1/2 Cup
Dawn dishwashing liquid, 5 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of
glycerin (available at drug stores). Stir (don't shake) the
ingredients until thoroughly mixed
LEGO BIRTHDAY PARTY CAKE
Bake a 9 x 13 (or 9 x 11) inch cake (whatever is the favorite
flavor of the birthday child) Bake six cupcakes (with the flavor of your choice to go
coordinate with the cake) you can also bake a second 9 x 13 cake and
use a biscuit cutter to cut out 6 circles. Cut the tops off the cupcakes do they are even. Turn the 9 x 13 cake onto a serving board. Frost the cake with yellow, red or blue icing (use food color
paste to make the colors more vibrant)
