Step 1) Take a piece of cotton material 2 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches long.  Fold it in half lengthwise and stitch it up the sides and along the bottom.   Leave the top open.  You now have a long, narrow bag.

Step 2) Near the top, sew on two shirt buttons for kitty's eyes.   Pucker the corners of the bag for ears, and pull a few long strands of heavy black thread through the material for whiskers.  Stuff the bag with cotton.

Step 3) Tie a string around it under the whiskers for the neck.  Sew a piece of yarn in place to make a tail.

Make kids party invitations in the
shape of some homemade toy or animal.

A cardboard cat with a bobbing head fastened on with a spreading brad could be an invitation. Or you can make a cotton kitten favor/invitation.
